Passengers on a delayed flight got treated to an impromptu concert by a jazz legend.
...
Grammy-winning saxoponist Dave Koz and his band were on a plane trying to get to Seattle for the next shows in their tour.
However, he and all the other passengers were frustrated to hear that after a diversion,
their plane was having mechanical issues and would need to be swapped out.
"We were just hanging out and we were all lamenting all the passengers..."
"and there was this one travel... uh sorry... this one flight attendant named Charlene..."
"who was just having fun with all of our guys during the flight,"
and she said, "I saw you bring on your instruments, I know they're in the overhead compartment."
"Why don't you play us a song?"
What else were they doing?
Koz and his bandmates performed Stevie Wonder's "You Haven't Done Nothing".
...
These passengers seem to forget for a while that they were stuck on a tarmac.
People who watched Koz's video of the jam session thought, "Why can't I get stuck on a flight with musicians?"
"I would have never expected in a million years that..."
"this little video would have gone viral and been seen all around the world millions and millions of times."
"And now we're the plane guys."
Despite having played for audiences all over the world,
Koz says this is one performance he will never forget.
