Calling all stargazers!
Tonight marks the peak of the year's most popular meteor shower, the Perseids meteor shower.
But you may have a hard time seeing it.
The culprit? A full moon.
Light from our lunar neighbor is expected to wash out the darkness,
making it tougher to see meteors as they shoot through the sky at 37 miles per second.
Still want to give it a shot?
Scientists say your best bet is between 10 pm and the hours just before dawn.
You can see the meteors with the naked eye, but...
you want to bring a comfy chair and some patience.
While you may be able to see up to 25 meteors per hour, there's no guarantee.
And if you miss out, don't worry.
NASA says another famous shower, the Geminids, will feature moon-free viewing in December.
