Big changes are coming to the White House and not everyone is digging it.
President Trump is building a massive ballroom attached to the East Wing.
"It will be beautiful, it'll be views of the Washington Monument."
"It won't interfere with the current building, it won't be... it'll be near it, but not touching it."
In renderings released by the White House, the ballroom has grand columns and lots of windows.
Inside, it's a large open space, big enough to seat 650 guests,
and no Trump inspired space would be complete without gold accents.
In fact, it looks a lot like the ballroom at Mar-a-Lago.
"It'll be a great legacy project, and I think it'll be special."
The Trump Ballroom is getting a mixed reception.
"Hideous!" says the Bulwark website.
But others say it's long overdue
because right now big events like state dinners are held inside an unsightly tent on the South Lawn.
"No one will do it better than President Trump,"
"and what a great gift he's leaving for future presidents."
"A beautiful place to host..."
Construction of the ballroom will begin in September and is expected to take two years,
and the president says he and private donors will cover the 200 million dollar tab.
